A female pedestrian has died in hospital after being struck by one of two cars that went airborne in a crash near Credit Valley Hospital this morning.
Peel Regional Police have shut down the intersection of Erin Mills Pkwy. and Eglinton Ave. after the crash between a Honda Civic and minivan occurred around 11:20 a.m.
$ Y+ Q% O& u; _7 i7 g: KAlison Weeks, 42, was one of two people at the intersection waiting for the light to change. She was transported to St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto via air ambulance.
$ u4 t9 Y& I0 a9 d1 Y, `0 [! uCst. Erin Cooper confirmed this afternoon that Weeks died in hospital.
The force's Major Collision Bureau is investigating the multi-vehicle crash.
