Parents who have not yet registered their children for school are being encouraged to do so next week.
0 V+ C( o; h y8 Q9 ?5 }Parents of children who'll be attending kindergarten at the Peel District School Board in the fall can register children for school from Aug. 29 to Sept. 2 at their neighbourhood school. Parents of high school students who need to register their teens are asked to call the school for registration details.
8 u% e* n' Y4 Q H# d" qParents must provide proof of age, proof of address in Peel and the child’s immunization and education records. In some cases, immigration documents may be needed.
' i; P/ z8 K1 ^5 y, G/ r2 ~% pAcceptable registration documents are:! f, z5 }7 ^4 |' P! U9 ^
• birth certificate, birth registration card or passport for proof of age
8 c9 j; @1 y9 A5 V3 _• purchase agreement, utility bills, bank statement or government-issued forms for proof of address, h8 E4 T. g( P" e
• yellow card or record from last country of residence, or Peel health form for immunization proof
$ u; X# Y4 Y5 h1 L4 {: ~# L. D• citizenship documentation, permanent resident card, or record of landing (IMM5292) for immigration status
/ D& n* ` S; T( T2 k" h& Q• recent report cards and/or school leaving certificate (secondary students only) for education records
" I& e& w3 ?( j0 WFor general inquiries about immunization, the immunization schedule or to determine if a child’s record is up-to-date, parents can call Health Line Peel at 905-799-7700. An exemption form can be obtained if a child has not been immunized for medical reasons or because of a conflict of religion or conscience.1 D+ ^! D% e$ F; `9 x1 S
