A man is facing several charges, including stunt driving, after Port Credit Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a car early this morning on Hwy. 403 in Mississauga.
At about 12:35 a.m., an OPP officer observed an Acura traveling westbound along Hwy. 403 at Matheson Blvd. at a high rate of speed.
The driver failed to respond to the officer’s direction to stop and sped off. The vehicle exited at Hurontario St., where it was stopped without incident.
Mahad Murtaza, 24, of Waterloo, is charged with careless driving, fail to stop for police, stunt driving and operate motor vehicle with no insurance.
